Effects of Family Changes in Society

Impacts of Family Changes in Society Clarify how new issues have risen inside your general public because of changes in the elements of the family. In the UK and other Western nations during the most recent forty years there has been a broad encounter of changes in marriage, family unit, and family frames that would not have been thought conceivable before the Second World War (Giddens, 2001). Individuals are more averse to wed than they used to and there is to a lesser extent an inclination to wed at a youthful age. The women’s development which started during the 1960s has, it is contended, prompted an ascent in the separation rate and the quantity of single parent families. There has additionally been a development in the pace of ladies who have youngsters however have not hitched and in 1997 they made up 42% of all solitary parent family units (Social Trends, 2000). This paper will take a gander at customary ideas of the family and afterward at a portion of the adjustments in the elements of the family and a portion of the social issues that have come about because of this Characterizing the customary family The family may be commonly characterized as a gathering of individuals who are typically connected by kinship[1] and marriage, who live respectively, for the most part, yet not really comprised of two guardians and their youngsters. This kind of family is the standard for the vast majority. Murdock (1949) has contended that basic to all social orders, is the family unit, portrayed above (guardians and youngsters) or more distant family (a more extensive family participation for example grandparents). 40% surprisingly in Britain in 1996 lived in family units (Brown,1998). Parsons (1955) has contended that the customary family fills two significant needs that are basic to social orders, the essential socialization of youngsters into the standards and estimations of society, and the adjustment of grown-up characters. For Parsons the foundation of the family gave the common love and bolster required by people with the end goal for them to be sufficiently fit to take their places in the public arena (Giddens, 2001). This has been challenged by women's activists, for example, Abbott and Wallace (1997) who contend that family life is experienced by its individuals in various manners and family life has not been steady of ladies since it is for the most part they who give different individuals support. Parson’s model of the family where one grown-up worked outside the home while the other stayed to think about the family has been condemned by numerous researchers as excessively optimistic and disregards the ethnic and class contrasts that happen inside an entrepreneur society (Giddens, 2001). The industrialist framework neglected to consider women’s work in the home Abbott and Wallace (1997) fight and this empowered men to go out to work since ladies were the shrouded work power. Goode (1972) contends that social frameworks, for example, the family, are amazing specialists of control in light of the fact that somewhat their reality is established on power. Inside social frameworks, for example, the family this is regularly unrecognized. Goode contends it is, not noticeable in light of the fact that it is viable (1972:512). Giddens (2001) has additionally condemned Parsons’ perspective on the family for fail to perceive, and consider the rise of various family shapes. Less individuals are presently deciding to wed and the individuals who do may decide not to have youngsters. Gittens (1992) is of the conclusion that in present day Britain: Beliefs of family connections have become cherished in our lawful, social, strict and financial frameworks which, thusly, fortify the ideologyand punish or shun the individuals who violate it (Gittens, 1992, p.74). In 1997 when Blair’s Government came to control the belief system of the family that had existed in Britain for very nearly a century was separating and joblessness was proceeding to rise. Demise, separate, and the ascent in the quantity of single parent families implied that the conventional perfect of the male provider and the female carer/homemaker were getting less normal. Single Parent Families 40% of relationships in the UK end in separate as per the Guardian paper 2000,p.3)and there are an expanding number of single parent families in the Western world. There are a wide range of reasons why individuals become solitary guardians family structures may change either through the passing of an accomplice, dwelling together or remarriage which prompts reconstituted families. Second relationships anyway will in general have a higher separation rate than first time relationships. Some scholar recommend that couples would have lived respectively preceding getting hitched, however the individuals who live respectively might be unquestionably bound to part than wedded couples. A portion of those living together may likewise have had youngsters and Government figures show that by far most of single parent family units are going by ladies. Since customary ideas of the family headed by a male provider are as yet pervasive, Abbott and Wallace (1997) propose that many single guardians, w ho of need live off government assistance benefits are seen both by people with significant influence as a weight on the state. The worries of the Welfare State were with the conventional, family unit where the man was the provider and the lady thought about the home and kids. It was not in this way, set up to manage single parent family units. Along these lines changing family structures bring about an expansion in other social issues, especially neediness (Giddens, 2001). Families and Poverty The media and for some Government individuals allude progressively to youthful single parents as illustrative of solitary guardians. Interestingly, Crowe and Hardy (1992) and others express that solitary guardians are a fluctuated bunch in light of the fact that there are various courses to turning into a solitary parent These includes expanded duty and many single guardians who are without a more distant family organize are compelled to depend on the state framework just to get by. These families are frequently among the least fortunate. Giddens (2001) keeps up that English talking nations have the most noteworthy number of single guardians, and the individuals who are working are among the least paid. These are guardians who are endeavoring to act naturally dependent and keeping in mind that family working assessment credits may appear to be a smart thought numerous individuals have contended that they serve to support a reliance culture for individuals who may like to be free. In 1991 31% of youngsters lived in family units with a pay that was under half of the national normal (Giddens, 2001). The Social Fund was set up to help the least fortunate citizenry to bear the cost of essential necessities, for example, bedding, shoes, and children’s garments however this doesn't help those that most need it since it is the most unfortunate who generally don't get this funding(Cohen,1996). Single guardians who need to join the work power as opposed to stay in receipt of advantages are regularly kept from doing so due to the expense of childcare. The Government guarantee to help working families’ childcare courses of action doesn't make arrangement for more established kids during school occasions. Without the assistance of other relatives, such moves to join the workforce become for all intents and purposes unimaginable. Thusly families become some portion of a developing number of the individuals who are avoided from a significant number of the thin gs that the vast majority underestimate. Individuals who are monetarily poor are likewise obligated to experience the ill effects of social rejection in different zones. They may live in regions with the least fortunate lodging, and have less access to better than average schools and wellbeing administrations. End Plainly customary family structures are not, at this point the standard in the UK. This prompts other social issues in light of the fact that the state framework isn't furnished to manage either the expanded weight on the advantages framework or in making the business and childcare frameworks progressively evenhanded. It may be contended that things won't come back to the manner in which they were and along these lines Government needs to start strategies that identify with the changed structure in UK society. 1250 words Book reference Abbott, P. also, Wallace, C. 1997. London—Global One-Year MBA The 2017 Professor of the Year Award for the Global One-Year MBA program, London campus, goes to Aleksander Grzeszczak. Alek teaches Accounting Finance for Hult’s Executive MBA, Global One-Year MBA, and Masters in International Business  programs across our London, Dubai, Shanghai, and New York City campus locations. He also teaches at Cambridge University. Alek has extensive experience within the private equity and investment banking world, including 12 years as head of transaction execution at a mid-sized, emerging markets PE fund. â€Å"Alek teaches finance for the sheer love of it. His delivery is passionate and practical, enriched by his extensive experience within the industry. His lectures give students a unique glimpse into the professional lives and personal interests of CEOs, C-level executives, and shareholders.† George Baffour, MBA Class of 2016 Winner of the 3M Challenge We caught up with Alek to find out more about his passion for teaching and unique presentation style. Hi Alek, and congratulations on the award! What is it about your teaching style that connects with students? Thank you! I think my efforts to explain complex topics in simple terms—based on examples from my own experiences—is what students appreciate. I try to present financial topics from different angles, and bring in lots of illustrative examples. How do you draw on your practical experience in the classroom? I limit theory to the absolute minimum and focus on practical applications and experiential learning. I go after the big picture, progressively break it down into manageable chunks, and relate topics to my own experience. I am quite loud and active in the classroom, and I think this attitude helps to keep students engaged—if perhaps moderately stressed! I go after the big picture, progressively break it down into manageable chunks, and relate topics to my own experience. Where in the world have you lived or worked, and how does your global experience influence your professional approach? My experience spans Canada, the USA, Switzerland, UAE, UK, France, Serbia, Croatia, and Austria. Over time, I realized that the world is not black and white but more than 50 shades of grey: there are many different ways of approaching and solving the same problems. Why do you think it’s important that students receive a global education? In educational terms, â€Å"global† equals â€Å"transferable†. Skills that are transferable are key to reinventing yourself—something that today’s students are likely to have to do two or three times before they retire. As part of Hults commitment to Lifelong Learning, all graduates are given the opportunity to take one free elective per year for the rest of their careers. Whether as a way to keep skills current or to navigate towards something new, this is a brilliant way to stay relevant. Todays students are likely to have to reinvent themselves two or three times before they retire. Thanks for your time Alek, and all the best for the new academic year ahead! The American Revolutions Revolutionary Effects - Free Essay Example

Sample details Pages: 2 Words: 504 Downloads: 5 Date added: 2019/04/26 Category History Essay Level High school Tags: American Revolution Essay Did you like this example? After the American Revolution there was a slow change occuring in the new nation. New ideas in the minds of citizens. Views on women and slaves were changing mostly for the better. New state constitutions allowing new rights. Freedom of religion being brought to the nation at last. Although many things had stayed the same at the time, the changes were very much significant and lead to further change in our future. After the Revolution former colonists, now citizens of the United States, begun to have new ideas of living. In 1786 Thomas Jefferson wrote the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom. This called for a wall of separation between church and state. His words changed views on slavery mostly in the north. The change of social classes was a major change as well. It abolished titles of nobility and inheritance to the first born son. Voting became easier because most requirements were taken away or lessened. Although women were still not allowed this right. Change toward a free labor system helped the laws of slavery to be changed. Don’t waste time! Our writers will create an original "The American Revolutions Revolutionary Effects" essay for you Create order The Revolution changed the way women lived and were raised. Of course they were still treated relatively the same, there was an idea called Republican Motherhood. This idea lead women to being able to have more opportunities for education. This was created to allow women, who mostly stayed at home in the period to take care of their kids, to teach their children republican values. The idea was popular among many and caused an increase in women authors and texts made for women. It also created feminism to surge with writings such as On The Equality of The Sexes, written by Judith Sargent Murray. It had also shown women the importance of political culture. As for slaves it took a while for any major change in the way they were viewed and treated. Although the hypocrisies of Thomas Jefferson were well known, his ideas of liberty sparked by his words of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and that all men are created equal, changed many citizens views. There had also been a decline in apprenticeships and indentured servitudes. There was a split between the north and south on their views of slavery. The abolishment of slavery was tedious. Between 1777 and 1804 all northern states had finally ridden themselves of slavery. Yet in the south after some decline it was brought back after the invention of the cotton gin in 1793. Although many things had stayed the same at the time, the revolution was very much revolutionary. Not as much as it could have been but everything takes time. Slowly it changed for women and african americans, but we still sometimes see a struggle in those areas in our present time and place. Of course we dont need a war to change it, we just need people who can influence the way people view each other in a positive light. Eventually and hopefully we will finally see a world full of love, a world where everyone is equal.

Metaphysical Poetry Essay Paper Example For Students

Metaphysical Poetry Essay Paper When her family found out, they were furious, and no longer acknowledged them as a part of the family. Due to this, they struggled in poverty for several years as outcasts of society. Eventually, however, they were welcomed back.. A Hymn to God the Father focuses a lot on the Donnas religious context. The persona reflects on the forgiveness of sins, and whether It Is truly meant, or even really worth it. The poem also alludes to original sin. These religious references and allusions link directly with Donnas personal context during his time serving the Anglican church. During his lifetime, he was pressured into entering a profession In the Anglican Church, two years before his wife died. He later proceeded to become dean of SST. Palls Cathedral in 1621. Donnas poem, A Hymn to God the Father, is poses the philosophical question of sincerity and reverence in asking God for forgiveness of our sins. Summary As a whole, the poem reflects the idea that forgiving a person Is a long, hard and continuous Job, which does not cease until the person dies, and Is saved by God. The poem is broken into three stanzas, which all have their individual meanings. They are as follows; 1. Donnas persona begins to ask God for forgiveness. He doesnt, however, start with himself, but with Original Sin. This is evident In the first two lines. Paraphrasing, Done simply writes, Will You forgive all of my sins, since the very beginning the sin that I carry, even though I didnt do it. He then admits in the next two lines, that this is the first time he has faced it. This is done by the persona stating that he has been running away from it, and is still running. He ends the stanza, by saying that once God has forgiven him, He wont be aniseed because the persona wont stop sinning. . The persona furthers his plea for forgiveness by asking for it for causing others to sin as well. This is particularly evident in the in the first and second line, where, paraphrasing, it states, Will You forgive the sin which I have caused In others. The persona continues to ask for forgiveness for his Ignorance towards others, which Is particularly evident In the word, shun. Again, he ends with the same as stanza one. 3. The third stanza is probably the most morbid of all. He asks for forgiveness of his fear and lack of faith. In the second line, he states that he was afraid that salvation wasnt true, particularly evident In the word, perish. The persona then states that he swears himself by God (death of Jesus) and that He will salvage him. And essentially, when he dies, he wont sin anymore, and God will be done. Detailed Analysis Language Devices relates to the Garden of Eden and Original Sin. The first two lines brings the subject out straight away, where it states; Wilt Thou forgive that sin where I begun, Which was my sin, though it were done before? Done was a strong believer in the Christian faith. It is believed that Adam and Eve were the first people God made, who betrayed him. This is called Original Sin, whams curse is believed to be passed on to each generation. Humans were cursed to work hard for their food, water and any other needs, and the bond between man and God was damaged. In the second stanza, the first two lines once again see to the Biblical Allusion. It refers to when Jesus talked about sin, when He stated; Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.. In this stanza, the persona asks God to forgive the sins he has brought to others, and either done to them, or caused them to do. In the third and forth line, the persona also asks forgiveness for when he has shown ignorance to those in need. This could allude to when Jesus said, Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me. The third sta nza relates to having little faith, in which he asks forgiveness for his fear. This is yet another Biblical allusion, as it relates to the story with Jesus walking out to His disciples in the middle of the storm. .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f , .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f .postImageUrl , .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f , .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f:hover , .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f:visited , .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f:active { border:0!important; } .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f:active , .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u604c2da5f56f84126bfc7767f528628f:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: My Mother Pieced Quilts EssaySimon Peter asked to go out there with Him, but he became afraid when he saw the wind and began to sink. He called out to Jesus who helped him. When they were back on the boat, Jesus said; muff of little faith, he said, why did you doubt? The second line alludes to the perishing fire of Hell, where Christians believe they will go if they dont repent for their sins. The next line alludes to Jesus dying for the sins of all people, which links in to the Heavenly imagery in the following line, portrayed strongly through the word, shine. Peripheral The first two stanzas end with the name two lines; When Thou has done, Thou has not done, For I have more. This translates in simple English to, When You have finished (forgiving my sins), You really wont be finished, because I havent stopped sinning. The last two lines of the poem are similar in formation and wording to the the lines mentioned above; And having done that, Thou hast done I fear no more. In simple English, the persona is stating; When I have come to the Salvation of Christ, You will be finished, Because I wont be scared anymore. This brings the Donnas main purpose of the poem, to show that Gods Job of forgiving is never ending and hard, and will only cease when the person dies. Pun The repeated use of the word done and more is believed to be a play on words with the actual meaning of the word, and Donnas own name, and his wife, Anne Meres, name. This humor lightens up the poem, because the religious ideologies surrounding the poem can very philosophical and difficult to get the readers head around. Although Donnas readers would have known about the Biblical allusion (because society was Christian dominated), it still has a hard impact. Really, anything to do with thinking about a Higher Power can give anyone a headache. The last stanza in particular has heavy Hell vs. Heaven imagery, which is quite harsh. The humor eases the tone of the poem. Metaphor The use of metaphors really depends on the reader. The first metaphor is presented in the means that the personas sins opened up opportunities for others to sin. Another metaphor is used in that stanza, in the forth line. This metaphor simply means that he lives in luxury, while those he ignored suffered. The last stanzas metaphors are the ones which depend on the reader. Done writing this, however, would have meant it literally. (See Biblical Allusions) Reification God is reified in this poem. God isnt a person. In fact, nobody known what exactly He is. The persona characterizes Him to have human form, in the sense that the forgiveness of sins is long, hard and ongoing. The religious belief, however, shows that God is beyond that, which allows Him to forgive easily, and love everyone equally. Therefore, this is technically a reification. This allows readers and the persona to link more closely to God, and find a way to envision Him, in the poem. Generic Conventions Religion In Donnas time, elision was at an interesting state in England. Queen Elizabeth was persecuting Catholics. Previously, King Henry had gone against the Vatican and created his own church, the Church of England (Anglicanism). It hardly differed from the Catholic religion, except that the monarchy was the head of the religion, instead of the Pope. This was a troublesome time for Catholics, and people of other religion. Even today, many of the top schools, are Anglican based. The motif of religion in A Hymn to God the Father, assists in making this poem a Renaissance poem. Love This motif/ theme, was very common among incessant and metaphysical poets. Many poems, such as The Flea and To His Coy Mistress have a lot to do with love and sex. The love in this poem, however, is based on Donnas love for his deceased wife. The used of the words done and more show their connection, even through sin, faith and death. .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254 , .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254 .postImageUrl , .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254 , .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254:hover , .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254:visited , .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254:active { border:0!important; } .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254:active , .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254 .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u801ace448ed1f235f94d9950b58ff254:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: A Comparison between the Poetry of Homer and Ovid EssayThis was a very popular theme within Donnas time. Conclusion John Donnas poem, Hymn to God the Father, shows a persona questioning his sincerity in asking God for forgiveness. He represents the people of strong religious faith, who truly want to reach the salvation of God. The use of language and generic inventions helps build an understanding for the reader, of the point of the poem, which is that the forgiveness of sins is a long, and hard process because once we are forgiven, we sin again. It isnt until a person dies, and feels the mercy of God, that we stop sinning. Glossary Original Sin Original Sin refers to the very first sin by man. This was during the times of Adam and Eve, when Eve, was tempted by a serpent (who alludes to Satan) in the Garden of Eden. The Garden of Eden was said to be a place of paradise. Her sin was eating the forbidden fruit (often portrayed as an apple) from the tree of knowledge. When God found out, he kicked them out of Eden, where man then had to work hard and suffer to fulfill their needs, for the rest of eternity. This is believed by Christians to be passed down from generation to generation. Sin An immoral act considered to be a transgression against Divine Law More It literally means a greater or additional amount or degree. It is believed however that it was alluding to Donnas wife, Anne More. It is also believed that this poem was written only a few years after her demise. Done that the repeated use of the word suggests a pun on John Donnas name. This has been driven largely by the presence of technological improvements and changes in the consumer needs resulting in diversified products for satisfaction of such consumer needs and wants. Hence, in an increasingly competitive society, in the business world, there is a dire need by organizations and modern manufacturers to ensure continued evaluation of their management principles. Constant evaluation of the existent strategies of management, operation and other practices in the organization aims at providing the highest management process in line with the trends in the market in terms of changes. Hence, success in the modern business world is achieved through efficiencies brought about by improvements through total quality management. Essentially, total quality management is defined as the chronological approach used by management in continuous improvements in operations, organizational process and functions. This is usually achieved by understanding the consumer needs and wants and striving to exceed such consumer expectations through efficiencies in the organizational processes. In addition, the main objectives for the use of TQM are to ensure adequate focus on the consumer, continuous improvement of the organizational processes, and participation of all individuals in the organization, in the TQM activities (Gupta, Shakti Kant, 2). Accreditation is an essential asset to an organization irrespective of the field of operation. Hence, organizations usually select and aim for goals, which are realistic and achievable with the resources available to the organization. Establishment of standards enables an organization achieve the select goals and objectives and thus in the process ensuring the satisfaction of the consumer needs and wants. Hence, the presence of goals with respect to the existent standards provides managers in an organization with the opportunity to focus on achievement of such on a holistic platform. Hence, daily activities in the organization are relegated to the lower hierarchal executives for execution. This focus is essential as it entails the need for constant evaluation of the existent standards and goals in the organization (Imai, 19). The effectiveness or appraisal of the standards in existence, in an organization, is evaluated through the focus on either the structural aspect or the outcomes because of the existent standards. Accreditation programs in the contemporary organizations focus on three essential aspects in the execution of tasks in the organization. The first is the focus on the structural aspect of the issue of services or the development of products. The second is the focus on the process aspect in an organization. The third and last focus is on the outcome of the procedures in the organization during execution of tasks (Gupta, Shakti Kant, 5). Accreditation is usually used as a means of achievement of quality in the organization. Accreditation programs in organizations play a significant role in continued updating of standards of quality in any organization. Continued evaluation and subsequent improvements in organizational processes and products is essential for the achievement of the consumer satisfaction. This is achieved because of the guaranteed high quality, considerable costs and the delivery of the service by an organization. This is a means of seeking and subsequently achieving and ensuring consumer satisfaction. Hence, the means of constant evaluation of the existent goals and standards in organizations is a means of ensuring the achievement of competitive advantage. Thus, the improvement of quality in the organizational processes and thus ensuing that the efficiencies accrue numerous benefits to the organization such as reduced process costs, increased profitability, better consumer relationships from satisfaction through high quality goods and services and the achievement of a strong brand image. Hence, improvements are used to align the existent resources such as the skills, labor and funds with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives (Gouranourimi, 48). For instance, manufacturing organizations around the world have increased their use of Total Quality Management practices and business process re-engineering (BPR) programs aimed at achievement of the consumer satisfaction. The advantages accrued form the use of such programs is the need to ensure a strong relationship based on consumer experiences. Consumer experiences are essential in that they determine they determine the relationship of the organization with the existent consumers of the services and products issued by the organization. It is an express indication of the ability of the organization to provide high value goods and services that provide the much needed consumer satisfaction. In an organization, the management is tasked with initiating and talking up the act of decision-making in order to align the organizational processes with the organizational goals and objectives. This is considered as the provision of the strategic direction with the aim of accruing long-term results, which are usually achieved in terms of the financial position of the organization. This entails the decision-making in terms of the competitive priorities of the organization, the policies used in the various processes in the organization and other sectors, as well (Powell, 21). The second phase is the improvement planning which involves the identification and prioritization of the improvement actions, which essentially contribute to the achievement of the overall strategic goals and objectives. Improvements could take the form of new designs or ensuring continued improvements in the organizational processes to achieve the goals and objectives of the entity in its market of operation. Essentially improvement projects are selected based on their levels of contribution to the organizational efficiencies and effectiveness of the processes in the competitiveness of the organization in its market of operation. Prioritization of such essential processes provides the organization with the much-needed focus for the achievement of the strategic goals and objectives. It is also essential to ensure refined select competitive priorities, which should undergo continuous improvement (Powell, 21). This is also actualized on continued investigations into the consumer needs, wants, expectations and preferences and how such relate to the performance of the organization when compared to other organizations in the market of operation. Additionally, the processes, which are prioritized for continuous improvement, are selected based on their level of impact related competitive priorities of the organization identified for improvement. TQM is a process, which applies quantitative models and human resources to improve the resources supplied by an organization to the consumers. Such ensures that the consumers of the goods and services are the primary targets of the TQM processes and activities. The execution and implementation of the TQM strategies has several salient features. Such include the presence of a distinct approach or TQM model, elements of quality in the process, the leadership in the TQM processes, multifaceted and dimensioned approach in the TQM process for maximization of the benefits or results of the process. Leadership in an organization is essential to ensure the success of the TQM processes. Leadership is at times characterized as animalistic in terms of the approach used by the organization. Commitment from the top management of the hierarchal order of the organization in terms of provision of the direction of the TQM processes. Good management is essential in the processes to ensure the achievement of the organization’s strategic goals and objectives. Involvement of the organization’s top management falls as a critical aspect in the TQM processes because of the issue of guidance and direction in the entire process. The involvement of top management ensures the ability of evaluation of all the organizational processes to gain information of the priorities in the organization. Such priorities are related to the relationship of the organization with consumers and the entire market in general. They usually provide the direction in terms of obvious areas as which accrue larger costs to the organization. Additionally other issues such as quality of services and products rest with the various organizational departments (Powell, 27). The commitment of the management should be driven by a strong desire by the organization to ensure improved quality in the processes, services and products to consumers for eventual satisfaction of the consumer needs and wants. TQM results usually focus on the presence of long-term benefits. Hence, there is a dire need to delegate duties, responsibilities and tasks to the senior mangers for the overall achievement of the strategic goals and objectives. Such should also be replicated in the entire organization to ensure that all employees are in active participation, in the TQM processes. Top management provides monitoring and control as it acts as an oversight authority towards the achievement of the possible benefits of the TQM process. Management also provides direction in terms of the corrective actions required as well as the adoption of new processes in the organization from the TQM processes. The involvement of the top management of the organization is essential in TQM in that it enforces the gravity of the need for evaluation of the processes in the organization using TQM processes. Contemporary organizations identify that customer needs, wants and expectations in terms of the services and products provided by the organization are the primary drivers of the need for evaluation of the processes in the organization. Additionally, connection between the improvement deployment process and the strategic competitive priorities of the organization is needed. TQM focuses on the presence of incremental changes and the eventual improvement, even though gradual, of the process in an organization. Such could be considered as a forward-looking approach as it aims at the achievement of positive results (Gouranourimi, 49). The results of TQM are usually measured best from an economic perspective. Such effects could lead to bankruptcy or financial success based on the approach used in the TQM process. Results of TQM are at times determined by the resources held by an individual organization. The differences in terms of results and benefits are due to the presence of imperfect imitability. This means that organizations are exposed to different conditions and resources leading to the difference in circumstances and thus the results of the TQM process. This is brought about by the presence of what is described as isolating mechanisms. Isolating mechanisms include time compression diseconomies whereby issues such as skills and experience may take longer to accrue leading to slow realization of the benefits of the TQM process (Imai, 41).
